Nuda Nights

An experimental non-alcoholic bar pop up, Bar Nuda, wanted to start an event series where they were 100% in charge of curating the vibe.

Over the course of about a month, Red Eye gathered product donations from different non-alcoholic spirit brands to have enough product to supply the specialized drink menu for the night.

Red Eye secured Bar Nuda’s first ever monetary sponsorship with Topo Chico USA covering the entertainment for the evening.

The first Nuda Nights was featured in the De Los Angeles Times – LA Times’ special section dedicated to Hispanic and Latino culture in and around LA.

Background

Bar Nuda, Los Angeles’ newest and only Mexican inspired non-alcoholic pop-up, is redefining the way we drink in any social setting. Bar Nuda provides a unique space with beverages that promote wellness and healing. Each handcrafted cocktail has a functional objective in mind (i.e. relaxation, concentration, rejuvenation, etc.) and is made with mindfully sourced ingredients.

Founders Morris Ellis & Pablo Murillo aim to create a comfortable space for the sober, sober-curious, and for those looking to enjoy high quality zero-proof creations. At the helm of the cocktail program is Bryant J. Orozco, a seasoned bartender and curator (previously at Mírame Beverly Hills and Madre Oaxacan Restaurant) spends his time between Los Angeles and Mexico investigating the myriad of beverages found throughout different regions and cultures of Mexico.

Bar Nuda is shaking up the hospitality industry by focusing on the realm of non-alcoholic cocktails. As more guests seek out ways to have a good time without the negative impact and consequences of heavy drinking, spaces like Bar Nuda will become increasingly important.

The Solution

Bar Nuda is a new brand, so how do they curate and create a space that they can become known for, even though the location will change? That’s where the idea for Nuda Nights was born. Nuda Nights, a series of events by Bar Nuda, focusing on wellness, curated for the purpose of celebrating culture and communities.

Red Eye knew that in order to make the splash they wanted to make, connecting with a bigger brand with a similar ethos would be crucial. Topo Chico, a sparkling water brand based out of Monterrey, Mexico, was the perfect fit. Luckily, Topo Chico thought so too and they agreed to be the very first monetary sponsors Bar Nuda ever had. They covered the cost of our entertainment for the evening, DJ CQUESTT, and Bar Nuda included their waters in two of the specialty cocktails curated specifically for Nuda Nights.

Red Eye was also able to secure product donations from NA spirit brands like Lyres, Ritual, Prima Pave, Gruvi, Non, and Dromme.

The Impact

Nuda Nights has been able to build up a wider community of people who attend their events multiple times a month now. Bar Nuda’s relationship with Topo Chico continues and they still sponsor their growing events. The very first Nuda Nights was featured in the De Los Angeles Times.
